CD&R Appoints Sam Camens as Managing Director

NEW YORK, Feb. 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- CD&R (or the "Firm") announced today the appointment of Sam Camens as Managing Director. Sam will drive CD&R's health and welfare strategy, including supporting related diligence and investment activities and partnering with management teams to create best-in-class benefits programs for portfolio company employees.
Sam joins CD&R from Onex, a global alternative asset management firm, where he served as Managing Director of Insurance & Benefits. In this capacity, Sam advised Onex and its operating companies on the management and effectiveness of their general insurance and employee benefits initiatives. He also previously served as a Managing Director at the consulting firm Alterity Group, where he led corporate integrations and strategic carve-outs for large-cap private equity firms and also consulted for corporations across the healthcare and insurance industries.

Sam began his career at Willis Towers Watson (formerly Towers Perrin) on their Corporate Strategy & Development and Health & Benefits teams. Sam earned a B.A. in Mathematics and B.A. in Economics from Bucknell University.
