The Taco Spot announced today that five new restaurants are now in the final stretch before opening, creating a unique, coast-to-coast friendly competition to see which city will officially earn the title of Store #24.
What began as a head-to-head race between Surprise, Arizona (Arizona's 19th location) and Provo, Utah (Utah's 2nd location) has grown into a multi-market showdown, now including Tucson, Arizona (2nd Tucson store), Hazelwood, Missouri (Missouri's 2nd location), and Morgantown, West Virginia—which marks The Taco Spot's first restaurant into the Mountain State.
"These teams have hustled through build-outs, training, and community outreach," said Raul Martinez, Director of Marketing & Business Development for The Taco Spot. "It's a fun, good-natured race, and whichever store opens first will proudly wear the #24 badge. What matters most is that all five communities are about to gain an energetic, guest-first Taco Spot with the bold flavors people love." When asked about it, Chief Operating Officer and Director of Franchise Development, Matt Surma, said, "As we continue to grow and expand into new states, the goal is to remain consistent for our customers for them to get the same experience. From the explosive flavors, to the recipes, to the decor, when customers walk in and try us for the first time, they will get the authentic Taco Spot experience."
